How to Contact me, InsaneDavid
Please see below
for an overview of how to contact me and the things I can be contacted
concerning. For the most part just send me an e-mail concerning pretty
much anything, including contributing to DVGI. If you are trying
to get in contact with another member of the site, please look up their
information on the team page.
- This is the easiest way to reach me. Writing me here will usually
yield you a reply within three days.
AOL IM: InsaneDavid001
- Go ahead and contact me via AOL Instant Messenger with an questions about
the site or just video gaming in general. Please be prepared to state
who you are as I get a lot of IM's, just say you came over from DVGI.
Monthly Forums: http://retrogamingtimes.com/forum/YaBB.pl
- As a contributing writer since 2004, I check in at the RTM forums every
couple days. Join in the conversation with myself (InsaneDavid) and
the other newsletter regulars that create the longest running online video
game newsletter in the world. If you would like to submit articles
for RTM, please contact Bryan on the RTM forums.
/ Selling Items
- e-mail is the way to go for all inquiries pertaining merchandise dealings.
Whether you have something you feel I would be interested in purchasing
or there's something you'd like to buy from me either out of the Storefront
or out of the Master List, make your offers through e-mail. Be descriptive
as possible if you're selling something providing pictures is always best
along with a price. Please understand that I have every right to
decline an offer for sale or purchase, as do you.
- If you're planning on buying a game system for someone as a gift, can't
find something you're looking for, don't understand an aspect of how something
works or anything of the like - I want to help! Most people don't
know but I've openly offered advice for many years, all one needs to is
ask. Anything from "I got this at a yard sale today, do you know
what it is?" to "I want to get a Super Nintendo for my significant other,
what games should I get, what's a good deal, etc." and everything in between.
Just send me an e-mail and I'll help you as best I can.
- Concerning repairs, I can give you repair advice but I
no longer do repairs, maintenance, and modifications beyond local stuff.
Instead of offering to mod someone's system or repair a damaged console,
I've moved to simply selling modded hardware or performing the custom modifications
to another console and then selling the whole thing outright. I've
been burned too many times to do repairs and modifications through the
mail. As with general advice, if you need assistance with diagnosing
a problem then I'd be more than willing to help you. If you're looking
for fully region modded consoles (not current gen, stuff like N64, SNES,
Genesis, Saturn, etc.) then please contact me. All work is of professional
grade and slight customization can be added in for a price. Genesis
model 2 units with US/JPN switches and widened cartridge slots seem to
be the most popular right now.
Digital Press Forums:
- An excellent source for gamers of any generation. There is a Technical
and Restoration Society sub forum here that is a great resource concerning
repairs and modifications. I'm a regular in the forums (InsaneDavid)
and frequent the Technical and Restoration Society threads.
