Various video game / video game themed T-shirts I own.  "Promotional Shirts" are game shirts usually given out at trade shows or during special events, they are not sold to the general public.  "Retail Shirts" are game themed shirts that are sold in national chains and specialty stores.  My advice concerning video game T-shirts, especially old ones:  if there's a shirt you really like then try to get two!  They'll wear out soon enough usually since video game shirts are made to a low standard, so if you wear your favorite game shirt a lot, try to find yourself a replacement before they become scarce.  This is especially true of promotional shirts but commercially sold retail shirts are made to low standards as well.  The Cyber Troopers VirtualOn shirt is the only one I've seen of this particular graphic, the speech bubble says "Pardon me... do you have any grey poupon?"  The Sonic the Hedgehog "Turn Me On" shirt seems to be from around the release of Sonic 2 but I've yet to be able to confirm this.

Rarely do I wear the promotional shirts, really I only wear them during special occasions (that's odd, I know) and I only wear the retail shirts when I know what I'm doing for the day.  In other words I do wear my game shirts but I am protective of them.  Remember washing these shirts is where most of the damage will occur, which is again, one of the reasons I don't wear the promotional shirts much at all.  This should also explain the fold wrinkles on many of the promotional shirts, most of the time they're packed away.

Following the retrogaming trend, the PRO-Keds sneaker line introduced some classic video game inspired designs across a few of their shoe styles.  Alien Arcade II is a style based on the classic coin-op Galaga with the alien enemies against back, green, and purple.  The entire sneaker seems to bleed the art design of Galaga as they are themed throughout.  Both yellow-orange and green laces are included, the green ones are the laces I primarily use.  Styles based on Centipede, Pac-Man, Asteroids and more were released as well.  Unfortunately these have all been hard to find since they were first released, the Alien Arcade II design above being the most difficult to obtain.  It's a shame really since the sneakers are wonderfully designed and extremely comfortable.  Of course these unique pieces of gaming apparel aren't cheap but the over all build quality and style make these a must own for anyone that grew up during the classic arcade era.
