New News:

7/18/2019...
Twenty years ago today, Sailor Senshi Sanctuary officially went online.  A couple months prior to that I had a few pages online, but July 18th, 1999 was when the site truly launched with all main features complete.  That was such a very long time ago, so much has changed - in how things are on the Web, with anime, the decline of fansites, how people interact - and of course I'm twenty years older now.  I still love anime, in fact I'm way more active with the vintage anime fandom presently than I ever was at any time prior in my life, hosting various cosplay events and classic anime panels at large conventions.  I still love Sailor Moon, although I dislike how cheaply its re-release has been handled in North America.  (Viz has gotten better with it as the releases have continued on but they still haven't fixed their first season encoding problems - and they're charging way too much for their releases)

So why continue to maintain this site if everything has moved on so much?  If Sailor Moon is so easy to see and get information about?  If everything here is out of date and from the primitive fansite era of the World Wide Web?  For the same reason that people still watch and read about the original Sailor Moon anime series - love and legacy.  What is here is here, it's still fun, and it's still cool to browse around and see something different.  Even though fansites were all different, many of them contained the same stuff organized and showcased differently.  With the loss of so many fansites, a relic such as this is now reasonably retro fresh.  Even though this site is mine, I still look around now and then, and find digging around on pages and following hyperlinks enjoyable - as strange as that may sound.  I've also used the site many times to find an old (admittedly low resolution) image that I recall or if I need a quick and clean download of a Sailor Moon console game.

I still have new site features in the works but at the present time I'm just glad I was able to put something here for the 20th anniversary.  I mean, it has been SIX YEARS since the last update... That's just terrible.  I have a couple things in mind for the near future and still some things ahead going forward.  Yet this site shall always be what it is, a wonderful memory that can be accessed and enjoy at any time.

Thank you for twenty wonderful years.  If you've been browsing for awhile or are here for the first time, please send me an e-mail and let me know what you think.

7/27/2013...
A day later than I had originally planned but The Quartz Arcade has been completely revamped.  Essentially the entire area has been cleared out, updated, and reinstalled.  New games have been added and the page layouts have all been unified and edited.  It now features all the Sailor Moon cartridge based console and handheld games.  While SSS was away, SailorVGame.org became the prime source for Sailor Moon game information and downloads.  However in 2011 that site changed hands and went through some pretty heavy growing pains before falling apart into the broken mess it is today.  I'll be very honest in saying that at one point a few years ago SailorVGame.org was a great resource, the best jumping off point for Sailor Moon gaming.  If anything I have to admire and commend the work of original SailorVGame.org creator Maraviollantes for his efforts in pulling together so much information concerning Sailor Moon games outside the realm of commercial releases.  The work he did in finding, documenting, and hosting fan game releases and more importantly fan games that were aborted was simply incredible.  I was actually on the Destiny Revival (homebrew mods for the Beats of Rage beat 'em up engine) development team during its early days, up through the release of their first game before parting ways with the project manager for reasons I won't discuss (I think I've done that enough over the years since - let's just say moonie fandom can sometimes be the most vitriol filled fandom on the planet, sadly).  Seeing that site loose some of its focus is what bumped The Quartz Arcade to the front of the additions and modifications list.  There have also been up updates to the FAQ and a couple other miscellaneous pages.  If anything, at least this update adds some real content for a change.  Go check it out and play some games!  I can still recall the days when some of the games barely ran on the emulators of the day, seems like a lifetime ago.

7/24/2013...
Miss me?  Crazy times lately with over a year since the last update, I even missed the site anniversary last year!  That doesn't mean there haven't been updates to the site, in fact I have done a little work now and again over the past year but for the most part none of it warranted a news update.  The biggest change that is visible occurred late last January when the guestbook was reset and moved over to Bravenet guestbooks.  Guestbooks are rather old school and tacky these days, I understand that, but they were all the rage back when SSS was in full swing.  In fact I used to find the best fansites via following guestbook links and I would like to see guestbooks come back in the face of search overload and biased web searches.  Search engines tend to direct you to what is popular, not what is interesting.

The SSS Eternal Book was originally hosted by Guestworld, which was the premier guestbook service in the 1990's, officially referred to as "the world famous Guestworld."  Guestworld was acquired by Tripod / Lycos and became part of their "guestgear" and then "htmlgear" before being shut down on April 2nd, 2012.  I maintained that same guestbook, the "Eternal Book of the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary" for 13 years!

Additionally July 18th marked the 14th anniversary of Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!  One more to go before we hit the big 15!  There are actually some updates planned for this week.  Yeah, that's right, THIS week.  By late Friday (yeah, as in two days from now) The Quartz Arcade will be getting a slight rework including new screen shots for almost every title and some new game additions.  I may also change up the page layouts over there a little as well.

There has also been a listing update at the SSS Storefront.  Remember, if you are looking to buy, sell or trade, SSS Storefront listings are completely free!  Please contact me via the e-mail link on the SSS Storefront page.

Not to shoot myself in the foot but the 15th anniversary next year is planned to create a lot of activity here.  In fact the remainder of this year up through the holiday season will be in preparation for SSS2K14 - the long delayed follow up to SSS2K back in 2000.  SSS2K was a series of chat events and site updates during the site's peak, a summer of Sailor Senshi.  SSS2K1 was canceled due to losing our planned video streams and SSS2K2 never took place due to losing hosting just days after the 2001 site anniversary.  I have a few different things in mind for SSS2K14 but I'll keep those to myself until I get more of them properly worked out.  May even change the name as SSS2K14 is just, well, odd since it will be the 15th anniversary.

So Quartz Arcade updates by the end of this week and banner and link fixes shortly there after.  Scans are delayed due to some hardware issues but I hope to have that all up and ready to go by the end of the summer.  The chatroom should once again be active, through offsite Bravenet services this time, within a week or so as well.  I can't promise the chats of old but it'll still be fun if you stop by.

1/2/2012...
What can I say other than the past three months have been crazy busy.  Busy in fact to the point where I haven't been able to do any work on SSS or any other component of the parent site - classicplastic.net.  After three nearly continuous bouts with severe illness, the holiday season begun which is always insanely hectic for me.  Now that all that is taken care of and I'm starting to feel (almost completely) better, I can get back to work here.  I probably won't get around to the new media and scans section for a few months still as I have other parts of classicplastic.net that drastically need attention first.  However this Winter / Spring a lot will get accomplished here and new features will come online.  I plan on expanding the Quartz Arcade and of course those scans I've been needing to get on for awhile.  Then of course a big shiny new section about the US release Sailor Moon Customizable Card Game is planned after that.

Let us also not forget that the new English translations of the Sailor Moon manga are out, with the first two books available and the others on the way.  Additionally both volumes of Codename is Sailor V have been released in English (remember these are the "new" version so the original three volumes have been combined into two).  If you haven't picked them up yet I urge you to do so as soon as possible.  The quality is great and the translation is very nice.

9/6/2011...
As was touched on in the last Senshi Talk, I've removed the (dead) links to the multimedia section for each sailor soldier.  I doubt anyone wants a bunch of low resolution animated .gif files or old RealVideo attack animations.  Not to mention static filled .wav files.  I've also done a little clean up work on the main page for each senshi.  I plan on beginning the massive deconstruction of the Media Scans section this weekend with the fresh, new scans to appear the second week of October.

9/4/2011...
I've posted a new Senshi Talk that goes into some details about removal of some site features and addition of completely new ones.  Expect The Great Gallery to change quite a bit in the next couple months.

5/6/2011...
What do you know, an update!  While there's nothing really NEW here, a lot of work has been done.  The old background image has been reworked from the original source image.  The background now features larger images of the senshi on stars and is better brightness shifted to make the text over it easier to read.  This was a long time coming and I'm glad it's finally done.  A single image?  I know, that doesn't sound like a lot of work but when you consider how SSS is hosted, it means redundant images for each page - so it was a lot of shuffling and uploading.

I do plan on doing some real updates eventually but that may be a little ways off.  In the mean time, thanks again for visiting SSS!

2/2/2011...
General new year housekeeping update.  I do plan on adding some content to SSS this year in the form of media scans of the American Sailor Moon card game cards.  I'm also thinking of possibly fading the background image out a little more to make text reading easier.  Additionally I want to add more games to The Quartz Arcade.  Big plans, I know and I haven't updated the site since getting it going again really in late 2009 but hey - I've been busy!  =]  That and I still have a lot of ALT tags that need to be changed to the more correct TITLE code these days.

12/13/2009...
Small update in that I was able to dig up my old "got manga? get MIXX" graphic.  I created it as a spoof of the popular "got milk?" advertising campaign of the 1990's and so on.  The graphic actually predates the site as I used it in a number of other places before work on SSS began.  In fact I think it was part of my "Totally Twisted Web Page" which was a short lived parallel to SSS and what could be considered the extreme forerunner to ClassicPlastic.net.  Either way, shortly after Mixx became Tokyopop I took the graphic down, which is why it didn't return in the original rebuild of the site earlier in the month.  Many forget how important those Mixx translated manga installments were to us during the peak of Sailor Moon fandom.  That is, until they attempt to buy a set on eBay these days and see how much many are willing to pay.  So the Mixx graphic is back on the index page, it was the very first animated graphic I ever created.  While I was never an official affiliate of Mixx or anything like that, it was important to me to get the word out that there was a company translating the original adventures of the pretty soldiers.

11/8/2009...
The Sailor Senshi Sanctuary staggers back to life!!  Finally, right here, during its TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY Sailor Senshi Sanctuary returns!  It's been four years since the last attempted update and upload of the site.  A lot of work has went into bringing the site back, cleaning it up and restoring it to how it was back in 2002 when it dropped offline.  While a lot of rebuilding took place, this was truly more of a restoration that has been years in the making.  New content will be added, existing content will be improved upon but the look and feel of the site will remain in the same classic style it was years ago.  My goal was to make it seem like the site never went offline, like it's still the late 1990's, and I'm still just updating my Sailor Moon webpage.  If you are a returning visitor from ANY time during the past ten years, or you THINK you once browsed this site or talked with me in the chatroom, PLEASE send me an e-mail.  The e-mail link is at the bottom of almost every page, it would be awesome to hear from you guys.

One final bit of information.  While the entire site should work and is restored, there are a few areas that are still being worked on.  The restoration of the multimedia galleries for each of the Sailor Senshi is not yet completed.  At this time the links to those galleries will simply be broken.  This is the very first thing I am moving to finish up next.  I was going to hold off until I completed them but I really wanted to get the site up and be able to enjoy it a little before finishing them up.  So if you hit broken links going to a multimedia gallery, I am fully aware of the issue and I'm working on resolving it.  The links section is also currently empty, pending restoration.  I am aware of this as well.  This is lower on the list since it's really not as big a deal.  The reason that the section is empty is because almost all the sites that used to be linked there no longer exist.  This was one of the reasons I was inspired to finally buckle down and get SSS back online.  If you find any other broken links or direction problems, please let me know via e-mail.  Thank you.

Before this starts to feel a little too much like a ribbon cutting ceremony, let me thank you all again for supporting Sailor Senshi Sanctuary over the years.  Drop in and sign the guestbook, it's the same exact one that was there ten years ago and many of the original entries have been preserved.  Ironically it's hosted by Tripod these days.

1/27/2005...
I'm proud to announce the first update of 2005 and the first content update since April of 2001!  It's nothing huge, just some pictures of the Series 3 Sailormoon gashapon figures over in the Toys section.  I've been looking at my bandwidth usage and it seems that people are in fact visiting SSS once again, which makes me really glad to have rebuilt this site.  However it also means that I probably won't be able to restore the image galleries for awhile due to the bandwidth hit, remember SSS is only a small part of ClassicPlastic.net and the largest site on the URL, David's Video Game Insanity!! will always require the most space.  I'll probably get a new guestbook installed sometime this week or into the weekend, I mean - what's an anime site without a guestbook? hehe  Well that's it for now, but please visit again and send your comments to me at sss@classicplastic.net - thanks.

12/12/2004...
Well look who's back!  After ANOTHER two years of inactivity SSS is finally back again.  I was unable to keep up the limited rerelease of the site from 2002 but now I have a new hosting solution and I'm pretty sure SSS can stick around.  There are some changes, however.  First off while the video game pages have returned they are simply for INFORMATION - you won't find the games here due to bandwidth issues, however there are links to where you can obtain them.  The character image galleries have been removed as before, again, I just don't have the bandwidth to support them.  I figure anyone can do a Google image search to find Sailormoon images - I really didn't have anything unique when it came to images, just a large archival.  However all the media scan galleries have returned!!  That's right, the scans of toys, games, manga, and cards and more are all back!  The RealVideo clips are still gone as well, mostly because I can't support the streaming bandwidth strain.  I do still have the clips though and they may return one day.  The links page had to be HEAVILY cleaned up as many of the sites that were there are now gone all together.  The lyric translations are back by popular request as well.  Basically everything except for the RealVideo, audio clips, video games (which I have links to where you can get them), and character image galleries is still present.

That's a change I hope to bring to SSS, making it more information based and less image heavy (although we all know how much everyone loves Sailormoon images) - the images you will find are rare ones, either scanned by myself or very hard to find to begin with.  The guestbook has also been removed since Guestworld became GuestGear and then became a total mess! ^_^;;  I'm looking for a replacement currently.

I really missed this site, all the great memories it brings to mind, and all the wonderful people I've met over the years while maintaining it.  (especially during the very first year)  Sailormoon was always the pure and completely accessible anime title.  Anyone could enjoy it, you didn't have to get used to some crazy fantasy world to understand it, and most importantly it carried anime in North America to the powerhouse it is today.  Now that the franchise is in limbo and being poorly handled there's a good chance that this once insanely popular modern anime classic may disappear.

It's really sad the state of Sailormoon pages on the 'net.  I remember back in the late 1990's when you could find literally hundreds of thousands of Sailormoon webpages that were constantly being updated.  Sailormoon was the most abundant subject of personally maintained web pages.  If you liked anime and were online, you had a Sailormoon page, plain and simple.  Now days most of those sites are either gone or have went untouched for years.  After the whole "free webpage hosting with unlimited space" business model disappeared, as did many great Sailormoon web sites.  Even the big ones such as Sailormoon.org, SailorMoonStore.com, and Sailor Moon Universe have completely fallen apart, been discontinued, or just been abandoned without any explanation.  At the very least I can get my Sailormoon site back up and running.  I spent a long time creating this site years ago, it was my first really big web project, and at its height it reached over 420MB of content.  As it stands now I plan on restoring it to its former glory as much as possible.  It's my duty as one of the first people to make a truly large independently run Sailormoon site to continue to provide the content here as a resource and building block for other Sailormoon sites (hopefully) to come.

Thank you for visiting if you've been here in the past or are a new user.  Please pass our URL around and help spread the word about SSS's return!

In the name of the Moon, I'll see you soon.

8/24/2002...
It's been over a year... over a year since NBCi discontinued hosting, and this site faded away.  The third year anniversary has come and gone.  Things have changed.  Then I realized how much I missed this site.. so it's back, as it was just before it left.  Changes had to be made, all the normal image galleries have been removed, the emulated video games are gone, multimedia videos are gone as well.  These all had to be removed because rather than the original 426 megabytes this site consumed, now I have to keep it below 20 megs.  But, look around, see what we have, and make sure to report any problems to me. (I'm sure there are a lot, after all, I didn't really test this site before uploading it again ^_^)

7/18/2001...
Okay, I haven't done much of anything here for a long, long, long time and I apologize.  Yet, today is a very special day, exactly two years ago today, I began Sailor Senshi Sanctuary.  It has come a long way and I promise you all that it still has a long way to go.  The reasons for me being away so long are mixed, mostly that I've just decided to spend my free time as of late doing other things.  There were and still are a tremendous amount of video games being published.  Most of all though, what little time actually online and at my computer I have had in recent months has been taken up chatting.  You can gain access to that same chat server from this site, and then click "Channel" to go to some of the more popular chat channels on the server.  Next time around I'll have more manga scan updates, a totally new product reviews section, and I'll finally get around to cleaning up my links page! ^_^

4/5/2001...
Real updates this time!  I've added a new Sailormoon Toys section with a bunch of scans of some of my Sailormoon items.  I've also scanned the uncut DVD boxes and discs and put them in the Video Scans section.  The Sailormoon Toys section will soon contain pictures and information of all my Sailormoon stuff that's not printed media.  The next thing I do will be to clean up the links page.  I'd really appreciate your input.

3/22/2001...
Alright, I actually did some work to the site this time.  I've added a lot of cool video game scans as well as redesigning the video game scans page.  It's a lot more organized now.  Finally, I've made the decision to only work on this and my video games site and drop production on any of my other web pages.  I realized that I really need to go through and clean up my links page, add some new sites and remove the links to sites that no longer exist.  Chances are I'll be doing this soon unless anything new comes up, remember it's just me running the entire site.  Sailormoon S movie art book scans up soon... I hope.  send your feed back to me!

2/27/2001...
A quick update for today, just an addition manga scan of individual English issue 28.  Thought I'd post it now rather than later so I won't forget to do so.  Traffic to this site has slowed down dramatically, but that doesn't mean that I'm thinking of quitting.  I'd like to get some feedback on the site, which will ultimately decide it's fate.  Soon I'm going to archive the entire thing off line so I can easily move it all if it becomes too idle.  I should update with the S movie art book scans next.

2/21/2001...
My, it's been a long time since I posted anything new.  Lately work on SSS has been going on behind the scenes, fixing link problems, sliming down graphics, and making load times shorter.  I haven't done anything here for awhile, but don't worry, I'm not leaving the Sanctuary.  I have added some scans to the English manga section, individual issues 25, 26, and 27.  I've begun to get ready to add a scans section featuring the Sailormoon S Movie art book.  SSS is getting to the point where I think it's becoming quite full.  I can't really think of anything more to add, that if I went online I'd want to find on Sailormoon.  I'm not going to add plot summaries, because I feel that basically they rob you of the drama of the series.  I'm against putting in an Mp3 section for a couple of reasons, the first being that the actual Japanese CD's are easy to find and reasonably priced, and having Mp3's here would effectively suck up the small amount of bandwidth that SSS has.  I'll be back to update soon, I promise.  Until then.

11/10/2000...
I know it's been a while since I've done anything with the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary, but with work, family, etc. I just haven't had the time.  Alas, here are some new English manga scans for this update as well as there are a few requests for Sailormoon items in the SSS Storefront.  You may have the items that are up for request, go check it out or place a request for any item you may want... only at the SSS Storefront.  Between now and the end of December get ready for the 4th revision of SSS.  Nothing is going to change, just get better.  Easier navigation to updates and information, new features, an e-mail newsletter, and more!!  Make sure you either sign the guestbook or write SSS for details.  Look for more to come soon, send an e-mail and tell me what you want SSS to be!!

9/13/2000...
This is more of a retrofit and information update rather than an addition.  I have redesigned the SSS Storefront a bit.  Speaking of which, it seems that a few Sailormoon search engines have disappeared, greatly reducing the amount of traffic to this site!  Please, if you have a web site, link to Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!  Just click on the "Link to SSS" link in the navigation bar and select one of my many link banners.  Yes, that's right, one person designs and takes care of this site.  (Although hundreds have contributed over the life of SSS)  Also, please sign the guestbook sometime while exploring SSS.  Also e-mail me with any questions or comments, that's where I get ideas for the future of the site.  It seems that people are overlooking the SSS Storefront, a classified section online for Sailormoon.  If you have items for sale, trade, or a request, just e-mail me with it and I'll post it at the Storefront.  See you in a week or so when I update next.  The next update will probably feature some winamp stuff or even *gasp* image archive updates.  In the name of the Moon, come back soon!!!

8/31/2000...
Lots of updates to close out the summer!  This time around I have greatly increased the amount of scans in the video game scans section.  Now there are visuals of even more Japanese video games on a wider variety of platforms.  There are also some new scans in the CD scans section, this time soundtrack CD's from the Japanese Super Famicom video games.  It doesn't end there though, I have also added a new Miscellaneous Scans section that features rare and uncommon Sailormoon items, go check it out for special Sailormoon treasures.  It's all in the newly updated Media Scans section!!  Updates may slow down a bit now that the summer is over, but I will update once a month at the very least.  It all depends how hectic things get with family and work.  Check back soon for more new stuff and get the word out to your friends about Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!!!

8/24/2000...
More scans yet again, this time of English manga.  I have finally got a copy of issue #20, as well as reprints of the first four issues, and newly released issues #22 and #23.  You will find scans of the front and back covers of each in The Great Gallery, under Media Scans in the navigation frame.  I was going to obtain new Pocket Mixx #7, as well as my missing SuperS books (#2, #3, and #4) but Sailormoon #7 was out of stock.  While they did have the SuperS books I don't have, I decided against purchasing them at this time.  It seems to me the individual issues are really far ahead of the Pocket Mixx right now, about four or so acts.  When the individual issues get to SuperS, then they will have a lot of catching up to do.  Well, look for more soon!!!

8/18/2000...
Tons more scans have been added!!  This time over 70 scans of original Japanese Sailormoon trading cards.  You will find them in the Media Scans section.  The next update will feature new video game packaging scans, as well as a new version of the Snes 9x emulator for the Super Famicom games!  I apologize for not updating more frequently, but SSS2K events as well as a fun and hectic summer have worn my time a little thin.  Still, these scans are an unannounced special update, that not even I was thinking of adding these pictures this suddenly.  Check back soon for more updates, always something new at Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!!!

7/20/2000...
Well, it seems I'll kick off the first update of the second year with some rare scans of the original Japanese Sailormoon video games.  It seems that is where the updates for SSS will be leaning over the next month, to rare and hard to find Sailormoon items.  It seems that's what viewers of Sailor Senshi Sanctuary want right now, and as always, it's something you won't find any place else!  Just go to the Media Scans section for more details!  Well, your webmaster has been busy with things aside from Sailormoon, so the next update might not be until the middle of August... but who knows!  I may just surprise all you moonies out there... I've done it before and I'm sure I can do it again!  So, check back often, and in the name of the Moon... come back soon!

7/18/2000...
Happy 1 Year Anniversary SSS!!!  Yes, one year ago today, Sailor Senshi Sanctuary officially opened.  What a big difference since the start, back when image archives were all that you would find here.  Look now, over 100 megabytes of multimedia dedicated to the Pretty Soldiers.  Don't worry, SSS has a long life ahead of it, with constant updates and upgrades.  I haven't done anything special this time around, the image galleries that were supposed to be up today cannot be available due to circumstances beyond my control.  That doesn't mean that they're not coming, I assure you that I'll add them as soon as I can.  In the name of the Moon, come back soon!!!

7/13/2000...
Can you say massive media scans update?  I've added tons of manga covers to the manga section of The Great Gallery.  As well, there are a bunch of new scans of Japanese Sailormoon video games on the Turbo Duo platform.  SSS2K is well on its way, with the one year anniversary of SSS less than a week away!!  Mamoru Chiba will be in soon, but I'll have to postpone the sound clip additions to do so.  The group galleries are taking far longer than previously expected, but should be made available before the end of the month.  Any manga issue or Sailormoon printed material you want a scan of?  Well if I don't have it, e-mail me and I'll put it right here!!  Make sure to come back for the 1 year anniversary on the 18th!!

6/29/2000...
SSS2K continues with a whole new scans area in The Great Gallery.  Tons of scans from the Japanese Sailormoon R Movie art book.  Stuff you won't find on any other site, than again that's what you've come to expect from SSS.  The next update, probably sound clip additions, will be during the first week of July.  Don't worry, the Mamoru Chiba gallery will be up by the 18th of July!  See you then!

6/23/2000...
SSS2K has begun!!  There are new screen shots of the Sailormoon Another Story RPG at The Quartz Arcade.  I have also added some emulator upgrades and updates for you to check out if you can't get enough of the games.  If you have Sailormoon items you want to trade or sell, e-mail me with the details today!  Remember to check back all summer for updates!  In the name of the Moon, come back soon!!

6/18/2000...
This is the pre-SSS2K kick off.  I have added the general media area with Japanese opening and ending sequences in RealVideo format.  It also features the title logo of virtually every Sailormoon television and video event.  There is also the SSS Storefront, a place to buy, sell, and trade Sailormoon items with other moonies from around the world.  Simply e-mail me with what item you'd like to post and I'll put it up ASAP.  In one month SSS will reach it's one year anniversary... so get ready.  SSS2K begins shortly, the summer of Sailor Senshi is going to be wicked cool!!

6/2/2000...
Okay, this is a quick expansion update.  I've added scans of Japanese manga #3, as well as making the manga scans section easier to navigate.  Don't miss the new features coming to Sailor Senshi Sanctuary this summer!  Audio files will rule most of the next update, as well as a few little additions to The Quartz Arcade that coincide with SSS2K.  What is SSS2K?  Where can I learn more about it?  For answers to those questions and much more e-mail me, sign the guestbook, and come back to SSS soon...  you'll be glad you did!

5/24/2000...
Hello out there, this isn't a groundbreaking update, but that will be coming soon.  I've added scans of the front and back of manga issue 19.  Very soon I will have scans from the original Japanese manga, probably by the time I next update.  That next update will also feature emulator updates and those sound files I was talking about last month.  There is also a new SSS FAQ giving answers to the most frequently asked questions I get via e-mail or the guestbook.  Speaking of the guestbook, sign it!  There are special events coming up at SSS soon, and if you aren't in the guestbook then you'll miss out!  Now, I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but this summer remember only one thing... SSS2K, a summer of Sailor Senshi.  Look for more news very soon, sign the guestbook today and in the name of the Moon, come back soon!!

I have added the front and back cover art of manga issues 17 and 18 to the Manga Scans section.  I have also added the Sailormoon Solitaire game to Sailor Senshi Sanctuary.  It plays exactly like standard Windows solitaire, but instead of normal cards, each card contains an image from the Sailormoon saga.  There are also many Sailormoon card backs to choose from.  A great addition to any moonie's computer!  I'm still taking suggestions on what to add next, please e-mail or sign the guestbook today!  Also, I am still making link banners in exchange for a link back to Sailor Senshi Sanctuary, if you want a banner, e-mail a request today!  The next update will feature some additional sound clips, as well as a SSS FAQ, see you then!

3/8/2000...
I have just added a new section to the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary called The Great Gallery.  There you will find scans of some of Sailormoon manga, CD's, and videos.  Most of the stuff there can be found locally, so check it out to see what to look for in the comic and video stores.  News about the senshi is pretty slow around here, so instead of something new, the next update may be more additions to previous sections such as the galleries and The Quartz Arcade.  Now it's your time to decide what will be added next, e-mail me with ideas and suggestions!!  I thank you all very much for your praise in your e-mails, but no one ever suggests anything new.  Sailor Senshi Sanctuary is well over the 100 megabyte mark in content, but I'm always looking for fresh additions that you can't find anywhere else.  What do you want?  Tell me and I'll put it here.

2/21/2000...
A new addition has been created at Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!  Have you ever wanted direct translations of popular Sailormoon songs?  Translations of the original Japanese songs?  Well, now you can have them.  I've recently done some translating (with the use of many different, reliable sources) of some of the most popular Sailormoon songs.  Even better, I've included the phonetic Japanese text, so you can sing along with the original recordings!  Head over to The Diamond Auditorium for details!  There are also new link banners available, link to SSS today!  More coming soon, big surprise's on the way from Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!!

2/1/2000...
Okay, happy late new year, anyway I'm finally back in.  The newest version of Snes9x for Windows 95/98 and NT is now at The Quartz Arcade.  Now, about the huge announcement that was supposed to hit SSS on January 27th.  Due to events beyond my control, this groundbreaking edition has once again been postponed, possibly until May.  Believe me, I wish that I could present it sooner, but this time I don't have control.  The miscellaneous gallery should be up soon, just a little more work left to do.  SSS is getting quite big, with many features, but what to do next?  Well, I'm leaving that up to you!!  E-mail me suggestions about what you want added to SSS and I'll see what I can do!

12/14/1999...
Greetings!  First off a big apology for not having the general image, media, and information galleries up.  Between server problems and ISP updates, I haven't had enough time to add to the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary.  I have, however, fixed the error that was reported when downloading the Real Video clips.  Either the downloaded clips would crash the Real Player, or play as blank with no sound.  As far as I can tell, xoom changed ftp servers again and the new one doesn't like Real Video files.  So all the Real Video files are now zipped.  They download in a shorter amount of time, and work just fine now.  I probably won't be updating the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary again until after the new year.  Still, there's plenty to see and do at the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!

11/6/1999...
Hey all you moonies out there!  I apologize for not updating the Sanctuary during October, but things have quieted down and I'm back.  I've obtained some additional sound clips of the SailorStarlights henshin and introduction sequences.  Including Sailor Starfighter's long henshin sequence.  Head over to Three Lights Amphitheater to check them out.  I also have redesigned the design of The Quartz Arcade so that it is easier to navigate.  I should have the general image, media, and information galleries up soon.  Probably before Thanksgiving.

9/27/1999...
Welcome to the third release of the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!  The new directory frame makes navigation even easier and the load times even shorter.  Remember, back in July I promised you more updates and improvements, and here they are!  Sailor Senshi Sanctuary is always being updated, refined, and expanded.  Be sure to check back often for updates!  I'll try to update at least twice a month, there's always something new at the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!

9/12/1999...
The newest release of the Snes9x emulator has been posted at The Quartz Arcade.  It includes better sound, as well as fixes to many of the graphics bugs of the previous releases.  Fans of the "SailorMoon Another Story" Role Playing Game rejoice!  The English patch is completed and available at The Quartz Arcade.  The patch translates the Japanese text into English.  It's taken awhile, but it was well worth the wait!

9/5/1999...
The SailorMoon R, S, and SuperS movies are out!  The special uncut subtitled editions with original Japanese music are now available.  For more information and to view the box art click here.  The suggested retail price for each movie is $24.98 and is well worth it.  The movies are proposed to also be available on DVD sometime later this year.  For the few out there who insist on the edited dubbed versions, they should be available in early January 2000.

8/28/1999...
SailorMoon R, S, and SuperS movies have once again been delayed.  This time they may be delayed until August 31st or September 2nd.  These are the uncut subtitled with Japanese music editions.  The edited dubbed versions are slated for release in early 2000.  This is not the first time they've been delayed.  Originally set for July 27th, then August 10th, and now August 31st the movies seem to be taking longer than expected.

8/2/1999...
The SailorMoon Super Famicom video games are now available.  Better and more accurate versions will follow as the technology evolves.  Remember to check back often for updates.

7/31/1999...
The Sailor Senshi Sanctuary has moved to Xoom.  This faster and more reliable server means that you'll get more of what you want.  More updates, more features, and more of the Sailor Senshi.  Don't worry, it's still the same Sailor Senshi Sanctuary you love, just more of it.  Thanks for supporting the Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!!

7/18/1999...
Welcome to the new Sailor Senshi Sanctuary!!  Now with a clean, fresh, new look and all the Sailor Senshi.  Navigation is even easier now and load times are quicker.  Thanks to those who helped me with the renovations on the sanctuary!  Without your complements and suggestions the sanctuary wouldn't exist.  I hope you enjoy the changes, and in the name of the Moon, come back soon!!
