In
between being run as part of Mixxzine and before being moved over to Smile
magazine, Mixx published Sailormoon as individual comic issues. While
the same stories would be collected into the books, I always would pick
up the individual issues whenever possible. These were a great way
to get people interested in the Sailormoon manga for a couple bucks.
The full color covers were really what I went after, in addition to enjoying
that a manga was being printed as a single issue comic. I'd flip
through the individual issues as they were released but most of my Sailormoon
reading was in the books, I'll be honest.
For all the Sailormoon items that were released in the United States, next to the trading card game, the individual manga issues are my favorite. I don't know what it is about them but they are something I will never part with.
Here you will find scans of the individual issue Mixx / Tokyopop Sailormoon manga covers at their full size.
Note: Since materials printed in large quantities like this are made at low cost and high efficiency, sometimes the scanner will pick up ink patterns which may cause picture distortion. This is evident in some of the individual manga scans, the actual issues do not have these effects, as the human eye cannot see them.
